As an animal trainer I have taken courses in applied behavior analysis and done much self study and practice over the last decade. I had hoped that Animal Training 101 would give me at least a few new skills. Instead, this class gave me a unified new approach to my art that far exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, it clearly delineated the best methods and paths to use to train animals. The right balance of background theory provided a solid basis for the use of the techniques so that, with careful and mindful application, a trainer can understand the purpose and proper application of that theory and apply it. Jenifer's skill, personal stories, and humor made learning a better way to train inspiring, fun, and easier to assimilate. Not only does she explain and show her methods, she also uses them on you, the student. It's a great way to learn. I give this class my highest recommendation. This is the most comprehensive online animal training course I've ever completed. It contains a lot more information, and is presented in a much more engaging format, than other online courses in a similar price range. I also completed a one-week professional internship with ATRI at their facility and I can attest that Dr. Zeligs and her team walk their talk. I can't speak highly enough of ATRI and their Animal Training 101 course.

The Animal Training 101 full online course is, in my opinion, the very best course that I know of you can take online. If you want to understand the "why's" and "how's" of animal training look no further. Dr. Zeligs presentation of Animal Training is not only very informative and unbiased but entertaining as well. Dr. Zeligs gives it to you straight. She points to the real science that supports animal learning and encourages you to approach training with an open-mind and compassionate heart. I'm very grateful to Dr. Zeligs and her staff for creating such a wonderful course. Fluency in the fundamentals is the key to mastery. Whether you are a beginner or advanced trainer, do take this course, you won't regret it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and learnt so much. It has changed the way i train and has given me a much deeper understanding about how to better present new training to my animals. I love that it this course takes the guessing out of the training and helps you to develop more of a scientific approach.

I really enjoyed doing this course. 🙂 Jenifer does a great job of explaining the science and art of animal training, while still keeping it fun. She really loves her animals! The horse/sea-lion video at the end was really cool!

I loved the way Dr. Zeligs engages with her online students in every lecture, making the lectures exciting, with the "come bearing gifts" idea. Dr. Zeligs provides so much helpful information to every lecture and doesn't just provide information to working with one species of animals, I loved how she would explain a concept then show videos of animals of different species working through that specific behavior. I enjoyed the lengths of the lectures also, they weren't long as most online courses are, especially me having a short attention span I was able to sit through every lecture without having to take a non necessary break. I really enjoyed taking Dr. Zeligs online course and can't wait until I am able to put everything I learned into animal training perspective.

I thoroughly enjoyed this program and I am grateful that an online format was created so that I could follow along at my own pace. The content is detailed and thorough; it was also wonderful to see examples of training with many different types of animals. This course encourages trainers to be mindful, attentive and ethical. This is the kind of program that trainers of today need to have as part of their portfolio as it encourages exploration of how we can always do better and put the animal's welfare first. Thank you, Dr. Jenifer for taking the time to put together this program; I have no doubt it will make me a better human companion and guardian for the animals in my life.

I loved the course. It is scientific based but supported with a lot of videos.

I really enjoyed that she went through all aspects of animal training and went through the pro's and con's of each, you could tell she had a preference on certain ones more so than others but regardless of her personal feelings she still presented the facts. The book was well written and matched up with each lesson she taught, overall very good course and I would definitely recommend.
